The UFC 276 early prelim card features three bouts, all of which will be previewed in this post. It will be capped by a middleweight bout between veteran Uriah Hall and rising contender Andre Muniz. It will also feature a key women’s flyweight bout between Jessica Eye and Maycee Barber (pictured above). All win probabilities are based on a fighter’s CC Rating and their place in the CC Rankings.
Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Julija Stoliarenko (Women’s Bantamweight)

Subjective Spin on Objective Reality: Clark’s three UFC losses have all come to fighters who are ranked in either the UFC’s top 15 or the Cage Calculus top 15. She typically wins the matchups she’s supposed to. However, he last time out saw her tap to an armbar. If you notice Stoliarenko’s finishing rate, you’ll see wrapping up submissions is usually no problem. However, the Lithuanian is 0-4 since joining the UFC. Though, her average opponent is 150 points stronger than she is now. She’s definitely had a tough draw. This fight may be closer than the forecast suggests, but Stoliarenko is not as strong as Clark’s last opponent, Stephanie Egger (#15 CC, NR UFC). As long as Clark can avoid a Hail Mary submission, she should have the comfortable advantage on the feet.

Jessica Eye vs. [7] Maycee Barber (Women’s Flyweight)

Subjective Spin on Objective Reality: Barber (#7 CC, #13 UFC) came into the UFC on a mission for gold, with many suspecting she would beat Jon Jones’ record as youngest champion. She backed it up with three straight KOs. However, after a knee injury, that finishing rate has dropped to 70 percent. Eye (NR CC, #10 UFC) has avoided being finished since her title defeat to Valentina Shevchenko, but also has not won a fight since December 2019. The veteran has struggled to find much consistency in the UFC. Barber’s power might not be what it was, but this young prospect is still a talent on the feet and Eye hasn’t shown the ability lately to hang with a striker like Barber.

[9] Uriah Hall vs. [11] Andre Muniz (Men’s Middleweight)

Subjective Spin on Objective Reality: Hall (#9 CC, #9 UFC) was once one of the scariest strikers in the sport. But, whether the step up to the UFC was too much for him, or he became trigger-shy after brutalizing his fellow contestants on the Ultimate Fighter, he has not lived up to the hype. But, as you can see by his finishing rate, when he’s on point, he’s going to put people to sleep. His issue has been being on point consistently. Muniz, on the other hand, has found that consistency, starting 4-0 in the UFC against heavy competition. He made a statement by submitting the grappling legend Jacare Souza at UFC 262 via a brutal armbar that broke Souza’s arm and sent him into retirement. Hall is not known for any sort of ground game and Muniz is rising as one of the best grapplers in the division. He should get it down and control the bout handily from there.
